Beau Matthews LLC is an antique, estate jewelry and decorative arts firm founded by Smoky Mountains native Beau Matthews. Today, he transports his exquisite collection to antique shows and trunk shows in every region of the United States. A so-called “dealer’s dealer,” Beau is well known in the industry as a foremost wholesale seller of antique and estate jewelry for collectors, dealers, and retailers.
Beau got an early start in the world of antiques. After attending the University of Tennessee, he set out to Boston, Massachusetts, landing a coveted position at Marika’s Antiques on Charles Street., one of the most prominent antique shops in the country, known to antique dealers as offering an extraordinary collection of jewelry and decorative arts at great prices for the trade.
After attaining a broad knowledge of general antiques in Boston, Beau chose to specialize in antique and estate jewel and began buying and selling internationally for several of the largest dealers in the world.
Beau’s international exposure eventually landed him a position with legendary “Jeweler to the
Stars,” Fred Leighton of NYC. It was here that Beau worked with designers, stylists, celebrities, international socialites, captains of industry, and royalty.
During his career Beau set up an extensive network of sources and clients for buying and selling antique and estate jewelry, which continues to this day.
Today, as an independent dealer, Beau is able to bring extraordinary knowledge and excellent service to his clientele. Beau is known throughout the world as an expert in his field. High-end retailers and collectors have come to rely on his extraordinary eye for quality, his elevated taste, and his staunch commitment to ethical business practices. Beau stands behind every item he sells, and as a buyer and seller of rare antique and estate jewelry, he is as enthusiastic about uncovering new unique markets as he is about meeting new and distinctive customers.
